FAQ

How do I prepare for my appointment?
Get plenty of sleep the night before. Eat a good meal at least an hour before coming in and be hydrated. Wear something comfortable and can give easy access to the tattoo location. Bring snacks, water, a friend if you'd like, and anything you think might help distract you or keep you chill and comfortable during your session.
How do I care for my tattoo WITH second skin?
Second skin can be left on for 3-5 days after your appointment. I recommend removing second skin in the shower. Using warm soapy water start to peel up an edge and slowly and gently pull the second skin at a slight angle. The more soapy water that can get under it the easier it will come off. Refrain from removing the second skin dry and ripping it off like a bandaid. THIS CAN RESULT IN DAMAGING THE TATTOO AND SKIN AROUND IT. Things to look out for. - If any fluid leaks out of the second skin remove it ASAP. This means the seal is broken. - If you notice any kind of rash or irritation around the second skin or tattoo This could be an allergic reaction. remove the second skin.
How do I care for my tattoo WITHOUT second skin?
After your session is done you will most likely have plastic wrap covering your tattoo. This can stay on for a maximum of 1 hour. Wash your hands and dry them with a clean paper towel. Remove the plastic and dispose of it in the trash. With clean hands get the tattoo wet, (either in a sink or shower depending on placement). Use antibacterial soap and gently wash your tattoo. Pat it dry with a clean paper towel. Let it air dry for an additional 5 to 10 minutes. If you are going to apply anything to your tattoo, use a thin layer of Aquaphor or an unscented lotion. Your tattoo will need to breath so be sure not to over do it on moisturizing. a little can go a long way. Repeat this process 2 to 3 times a day for the first 2 to 3 days and 1 to 2 times a day for a minimum of a week and a half after your appointment.
