BORN AND RAISED IN THE UKRAINE, SLAVA HAS BEEN AN ARTIST FOR MOST OF HIS LIFE. A PAINTER FIRST AND FOREMOST, HE HELD HIS FIRST TATTOO MACHINE IN AN ART CLASS IN COLLEGE AND HAS NOT LOOKED BACK SINCE. SLAVA SPECIALIZES IN CUSTOM DESIGNS THAT REFLECT HIS CLIENTS’ INDIVIDUALITY, TAKING INSPIRATION FROM THEIR STORIES, EMOTIONS, AND IDEAS. FAQ
- Where do you tattoo?
- I work at Guru Tattoo in San Diego, the Little Italy location. I also do frequent guest spots up in LA as well as Houston, NYC, and Miami.
- What’s your pricing and wait time like?
- I charge a flat day rate or $2000 per session. It includes all the custom design work and 6-7 hours of tattooing. Wait times vary but usually I’m a few months out, however I always have an active cancellation list.
- What are your hours?
- I work Tuesday - Saturday. All appointments start at 11am and expect to be there until 7/8pm.
- What imagery do you like to tattoo?
- The weirder the better lol but I also love classic religious imagery and anything based on movies. I would love more avant-garde projects and will tattoo pretty much anything that isn’t racist or political.
