About Ira
Ira (they/them) is a genderqueer Kansas City transplant tattooer. They welcome all people and all tattoo ideas in the shop. While they focus on Japanese, traditional, and fine-line lettering tattoo styles they also love doing work outside their area of focus. Outside of tattooing Ira loves cooking, video games, travel, and painting. If they're not at the studio you can usually find them at home cooking up a storm or painting a new flash sheet.

- Deposit Policy
- All deposits are non-refundable. Rescheduling your appointment, especially on short notice, may result in losing your deposit.
- Cover-up policy
- Accepting cover-ups.
FAQ
- How do I book with you?
- Email me directly at dyketattoo@gmail.com with your name, phone number, design idea and budget. Also make sure to attach some reference photos of tattoos you like. This can be either original art, tattoos from the internet, or similar work in my portfolio. If you give me a budget I can almost always work within it! Make sure to let me know that in the email as well.
- How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?
- Make sure to get plenty of rest the night before and eat a large meal before your appointment. It's also important to stay hydrated and drink lots of water the week before and after. For the day of the tattoo make sure you bring your ID, cash for your tattoo and any items you'd like to have with you for your appointment (ie. Blanket, fidget toy, snack, water bottle, phone charger, headphones) Do your best to stay relaxed during your tattoo and let me know if you have any questions!
- Can I bring my child with me?
- Minors are not allowed on the tattoo floor, if your child is over 18 you are welcome to bring them with you. Childcare should be arranged prior to your appointment
- What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
- Email me promptly at dyketattoo@gmail.com if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you left a deposit and you reschedule last minute or cancel your appointment it might mean you forfeit your deposit. Please always do your best to communicate with me promptly any illnesses, life or circumstance changes.
- Do you take on coverups?
- Coverups are some of my favorite projects to work on! Each coverup is a unique project and in order to best serve you I require an in person (free) consultation before booking an appointment. Since each coverup is unique and everyone's goals with their coverups can be different, not every subject matter works for every coverup. In general subjects with lots of texture (ie. Feathers, scales, leaves) and designs that are full color are the most versatile when it comes to coverups.
