About James
James Tex is a Canadian born Tattoo Artist. His career started over 26 years ago in Victoria, British Columbia in 1998. Relocating to Calgary, Alberta in 2000 James joined Smilin’ Buddha Tattoo. In 2005 James opened his own tattoo studio called Deadly Tattoos inc and it is still in operation today. With attending many tattoo conventions over his 26 year career James has accumulated many awards and has been featured in numerous magazine articles around the world. James is an Illustrative Tattooer specializing in heavily influenced Japanese and Illustrative styles. James is the newest Season 16 winner of Ink Master and first ever Canadian to win Ink Master.
