About George
George “Orge” Kalodimas is a tattoo artist based in NY, USA. Born in Sparta, Greece and raised in Athens. He started his apprenticeship in 2005, and got into geometric art and tattooing in 2007. More than 50 awards at international tattoo conventions in Europe, the USA, and Asia. In 2023 George opened his own private studio, the As Above Tattoo in Amityville, New York! He is world-renowned for his spiritual mandalas and sold-out Solstice Mandala book, based on his six-month project, designing one mandala every day for an entire solstice. He has also published five more sketchbooks and many limited-edition screen prints. He is currently preparing his second hardcover book, “The Ten Years of Solstice.” George has traveled and worked worldwide for tattooing, from NY and LA to Nepal and Thailand. His creativity expanded when he bought his first camera and it has become second nature since then. He has attended multiple seminars and workshops for photography and filmmaking and believes in constant learning. With his wife Aleksandra, they travel the world, exploring the planet and seeking adventures. From Zion and Grand Canyon to the Himalayas, every place is a library for inspiration!
