About Lina

Hi, my name is Lina Shuliar. I’m a tattoo artist based in Miami, Florida, specializing in creating tattoos with a dark, gothic aesthetic. I’m a passionate artist who loves creating designs based on dark fantasy, Japanese lore, mythology, anime/video games, custom creatures, and characters. Each design I make is super personal and tailored to fit my clients’ unique ideas. I put a lot of thought into my work, adding lots of fine details and an atmospheric vibe to make sure the final product is visually stunning.

FAQ

Do I need to book a consultation before committing to a tattoo?
YES, please. All big and small projects are takes time to plan and to draw, also I would love to talk about the idea and hear how you visualize it. On a consultation we can see what we can do and estimate the cost for the tattoo.
What is the deposit policy?
Deposit is 500$. It is non refundable.  You can move appointment up to 2 times with in 5 days notice before an appointment.  You can move your appointment only  1 time with the emergency.   If I have to move your appointment - you have your deposit safe.
Will I see the design before the appointment?
Yes, after the deposit is sent I am starting to draw the main composition of the design and usually sending some sketches to approve on the early stages. After that I am working on details and can show some work in progress! I like then people getting inspired before sessions by the pictures of theirs future tattoo, it’s make the whole process easier and more comfortable for both :)
Do you charge by the piece or by the hour?
Depends. I love to do the flat rates ( like full and halth-day rates), but I also open for other options. On a consultation I usually ask about the budget for a tattoo and based on that we can plan the size and details of the design.
Do you travel for guest spots or conventions?
Yes !I love to travel, I have an Instagram channel where I post new travel updates. Usually I collecting a requests for a location I want to visit or I already have a list of clients who is waiting for me and then I am making my trip to them :)
Do you tattoo all skin types and tones?
Absolutely, I have no problem with any of skin type or color. My style fit perfectly for an ivory or a darks skin tone 👍🏻
Do you offer numbing options?
Yes I do! I am not against it like most of the artists. I personally use a lot of numbing cream on myself and I love it. It comes with some challenges and during the tattooing and healing processes BUT if we must use it - I am open for it. I also have different numbing options - cream, gel and sprays!
Do you do cover-ups or do you tattoo scars?
It’s depends! Some tattoos are not easily coverable without a laser removal, depends of the darkness and details of the design you want. It’s always an options to skip the laser part, but you need to be prepared for some blackout parts and a large size of the whole cover-up tattoo! Scars are less difficult to cover then an old tattoo, but some of them needs to be treated with a special cream or laser treatment ( if it’s big and voluminous for example). Scars has to be at least 1 yo before it can be covered with a tattoo. Also - not all tattoo elements and details will cover it and will look good on a scar.
