About Megan
I started working in a tattoo shop as I was going to school for studio art. Once I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree, our shop owner took me in as her apprentice. I still work with her to this day! I feel so lucky to be where I am in this fantastic community, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! I specialize in black and gray realism, surrealism, micro realism, and fine line. I try to focus my work on portraits, chrome/silver, gothic themes, and weird/surreal/horror themes. If this sounds like the kind of tattoos you want to get, I’m your girl!

FAQ
- How should I prepare for my tattoo
- Get lots of rest, drink a lot of water, and eat a nice big meal beforehand. Try your best not to drink alcohol the night before, as it can make tattooing your skin more difficult, which is not fun for either one of us!
- How long should I keep my second skin on?
- Keep it on no longer than 48 hours! You don't want to risk infection by keeping sweat and bacteria trapped in there. I personally always take it off the next morning.
- What should I do during healing process?
- Wash it every day, twice a day with an unscented soap (CeraVe, Dr. Bronner's, unscented dial antibacterial soap, etc.). Let it air dry or pat it dry with a paper towel. Apply a thin layer of an unscented moisturizer (CeraVe, Jergans, coconut oil). *DO NOT USE AQUAPHORE* Just don't overdo or underdo it, keep it clean, and you should be good to go! Keep out of the sun, don't soak in a body of water (no baths, pools, lakes, oceans, ect) until itching and pealing stops.
- What should I do if it looks like I need a touchup?
- If you need a touchup please reach out to me through Instagram DM or email me at bookmegytatts@gmail.com ! Touchups are always free and I'm always happy to fix up your tattoo for you!
