Shug Shyam is a full time yogi and spiritual tattooist living at Sat Manav Yoga Ashram, a traditional yoga community in the woods of Maine. Shug pulls from over 28 years of deep spiritual practice to create ceremonial, energetically empowering tattoos drawn from the timeless knowledge of yoga. His tattoo journey began at a young age, when he was initiated into the highest levels of yoga by his Guru. This journey was marked by a small but powerful tattoo ceremony. From this time he began seeing the intrinsic connection tattooing has to the mind, the body, and spirituality. All of his art is fueled by his devotion to spiritual practices that align the body and mind with its highest purpose. Whether he is tattooing, painting, or consulting with a client about a tattoo vision, this energy and power is carried into all he creates. 100% of the proceeds from his work go towards supporting and propagating the mission of Sat Manav Yoga Ashram: benefitting all beings through the emanation and power of yoga. If you would like a tattoo that is blessed by a yogi, infused with life enhancing energy, and charged with your most powerful intentions, look no further. Shug works out of his private studio in rural Maine, just a short drive from Sat Manav’s 140+ acre off-grid yoga sanctuary. If you want to participate in the thriving community of yogis he comes from, you can also reserve a stay, book a personal massage, receive private yoga classes, and join in on the intentional ceremonies happening daily. Shug also regularly works in New Jersey and Los Angeles.

- Deposit Policy
- All deposits are non-refundable. Rescheduling your appointment, especially on short notice, may result in losing your deposit.
- Cover-Up Policy
- Accepting cover-ups.
- Rescheduling Policy
- Rescheduling your session on short notice will result in loosing your full deposite. Typically this will apply to anything within 72 hrs. of the appointment. If it is related to an emergency, this will be dealt with on a case by case basis. **Please note that this is a unique tattoo experience and each session is much more than just a tattoo. To cancel a session means to miss the magical preperation and special care that has been put into the intentions and design work itself. This is a highly energetic and ceremonial process, please be respectful of what you are embarking on so that you may receive the most from the experience. Namaskaram 🕉 🙏
- Touch-Up Policy
- Once your tattoo has fully healed, if you notice any areas where a touch up is needed this is typically done free of charge. If however, you neglected any crucial steps in the healing process or did anything that compromised the healing of the tattoo, please be aware that this may result in some charge. Thank you!
- Design fee and mindset
- Each design draws from a deep understanding of yogic art and occultism. The designs are carefully matched to the individual and their needs. An initial fee is typically required. This will vary depending on the size, complexity and depth of the design. Typically the fee ranges between $75 to $250.
