Snake Sleeve

By Ian Rydquist

About this design

A Japanese snake, known as "Hebi," is primarily a symbol of protection, wisdom, and good fortune, often believed to ward off evil spirits, illness, and bad luck. The snake is revered as a guardian and a messenger of the gods, sometimes seen as an incarnation of deities in Shinto beliefs. Its ability to shed its skin makes it a powerful emblem of transformation, rebirth, regeneration, and renewal, representing personal growth and the ability to overcome adversity.

Artist notes

Concept design-this means the tattoo will be based off this piece, but there may be some variation based on your body. Certain elements will be drawn on to fit. This design will be completed in multiple sittings. I would estimate it to take 15-20 hours total. Expect to sit at least 4 hours for the first sitting.
