About Cass
I’m Cass, a tattoo artist with 6+ years of experience creating bold, custom tattoos with personality. My work is heavily inspired by neo traditional art, florals, glitter style effects, spooky and Halloween imagery, and colorful designs with a little bit of magic. I love working with clients to take an idea and turn it into something unique that fits both their personality and their body. I especially enjoy flowers, whimsical designs, pop culture inspired pieces, colorful tattoos, and detailed black and grey work. For me, tattooing is about more than putting ink on skin..it’s about creating artwork that means something to the person wearing it. Based in Portage, Indiana. 🖤

- Pricing Policy
- PRICING Tattoo prices depend on size, placement, detail, color, complexity, and the amount of time needed to complete the tattoo. Any price given before seeing the final size and placement should be considered an estimate unless otherwise stated. My shop minimum is $75. Major changes to the original tattoo idea, size, placement, or level of detail may change the quoted price.
- Design Policy
- Please be as detailed as possible when submitting your tattoo request. I will make up to 3 changes via phone or text. Large changes or a completely different tattoo concept may require the appointment to be rescheduled and/or a new deposit. No changes can me made other than size during appointment. So please be thorough. Custom drawings are created specifically for each client. I do not copy another tattoo artist's custom work exactly, but reference photos are always welcome.
- Age Policy
- A valid government-issued photo ID is required for tattoo appointments. Policies for clients under 18 must follow Indiana law, Porter County requirements, and Faith in Ink's shop policies.
- BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
- Arrive clean, hydrated, and make sure you have eaten. YOU WILL BE ASKED. I reserve the right to refuse or reschedule the appointment if I believe tattooing would be unsafe. Please avoid coming in with sunburn, open wounds, rashes, or irritated skin in the area being tattooed. Medical condition are taken seriously and will require doctors clearance.
- Guests
- GUESTS Please limit guests unless arrangements have been made ahead of time. Children are to remain in the lobby and must have supervision. This is for their safety.
- TOUCH-UPS
- Normal settling can happen during the healing process. If your tattoo needs a small touch-up after it has completely healed, contact me with a clear photo so I can determine what is needed. Touch-up policies does not cover areas that commonly experience faster fading, including fingers, hands, feet, and similar high-wear placements. Damage caused by improper aftercare, picking, excessive sun exposure, or failure to follow healing instructions may not qualify for a complimentary touch-up.
- Aftercare
- You will receive aftercare instructions and supplies following your tattoo. Proper healing is a team effort, so please follow the instructions carefully. Once you leave the shop, I cannot control how the tattoo is cared for. Improper aftercare can affect the final result.
- ARTIST DISCRETION
- I reserve the right to decline or modify a tattoo request if I believe the design, placement, size, condition of the skin, or other circumstances would prevent me from producing a tattoo I am comfortable putting my name behind. My goal is always to give you a tattoo that looks good when you leave the shop and still looks good after it heals. 🖤
FAQ
- How do I book with you?
- Submit a tattoo request through my booking page with as much information as possible, including your idea, placement, approximate size, color or black-and-grey preference, and any reference photos. Once we go over the details, you’ll receive information about availability, pricing, and the deposit needed to secure your appointment.
- Do I need a deposit?
- Yes. A deposit is required to officially reserve your appointment. Your deposit goes toward the final price of your tattoo and is non-refundable.
- What does a deposit cover?
- Your deposit secures your appointment date and time and is applied toward the final cost of your tattoo. It also covers the time I spend preparing for your appointment, including reviewing your tattoo request, communicating about the design, planning size and placement, and creating or preparing your artwork. Deposits are non-refundable because that time has already been reserved specifically for you. If you follow my rescheduling policy, your deposit may be transferred to a new appointment d
- How much is the deposit?
- A deposit depends on the cost of the tattoo...its 20% with a $50 minimum deposit. Your deposit is applied toward the total cost of your tattoo..it is **NOT AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE**. Deposits are non-refundable because your appointment time is reserved specifically for you and I begin preparing for your tattoo before you arrive.
- How much will my tattoo cost?
- Tattoo pricing depends on the size, placement, amount of detail, color, complexity, and estimated tattoo time. My shop minimum is $100. I can usually provide a ballpark estimate before your appointment, but the final price may change if the size, design, placement, or details change.
- Can you tell me exactly how much my tattoo will cost from a picture?
- NEVER...and that's not to be mean or rude... Reference photos help me estimate, but I also need to know the size and placement. A design that looks simple on a phone screen may need to be larger in order for the details to heal and age properly.
- How small can you make my tattoo?
- That depends on the design. Some tattoos can be done very small, while detailed designs need more room so the lines do not blur together over time. If I recommend making your tattoo larger, it’s because I want it to heal well and still look good years from now.
- Do you do custom tattoos?
- Absolutely! I love taking your ideas and turning them into something unique for you. Reference photos are encouraged, but I prefer creating my own version instead of directly copying another artist's tattoo. What styles do you tattoo? I especially love: Neo-traditional Florals Glitter-style tattoos Spooky and Halloween designs Whimsical tattoos Pop-culture-inspired pieces Color tattoos Black-and-grey designs Fine and clean linework I do not currently specialize in realism or portrait tattoo
- Can you copy a tattoo I found online?
- I can use it as inspiration, but I will not directly copy another tattoo artist's custom work. We can take the parts you love and create something personalized for you.
- When will I see my design?
- Designs are typically prepared close to the appointment date. I will make up to 3 changes..if you want more there is an extra 10$ fee every 3 changes. If you decide you want a completely different tattoo than what was originally discussed, we may need to reschedule so I have enough time to redesign it properly and do another deposit.
- Can I change my tattoo idea after booking?
- I will make up to three changes in the design. More than 3 will require a 10$ fee for every 3 additional changes. Major changes to the concept, size, placement, or style may affect the price or require a new appointment date and deposit. Please let me know about major changes as early as possible.
- What should I do before my appointment?
- Eat a good meal, drink plenty of water, shower, and wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the tattoo area. Please avoid arriving sunburned, intoxicated, or with irritated or damaged skin where the tattoo will be placed. If you have not eaten, are not clean, or hydrated you will be asked to reschedule and the deposit will not be refunded and you will be asked to make another deposit to secure your spot.
- What should I wear?
- Wear something comfortable that allows easy access to the area being tattooed. For example, shorts work well for thigh tattoos, tank tops for shoulders, and loose clothing is usually best for larger pieces.
- Can I bring someone with me?
- Please keep guests to a minimum. Tattoo areas can become crowded quickly, and I need enough room to work safely and comfortably.
- Can I bring my child to my appointment?
- Tattoo appointments require focus, sterile working conditions, and sometimes several hours of sitting. Children can sit in the lobby but must be supervised at all times. We suggest to try to arrange child care but that's not always easy. I have 7 kiddos so I understand but they will not be allowed in the tattooing area for any reason and must be supervised at all times.
- What if I'm running late?
- Please message me as soon as you know you are going to be late. I give a 10 min grace period but after that I need to move on with my day. I understand things happen if you call me before hand we can reschedule and your deposit stays in place.
- Can I reschedule?
- Yes, as long as you provide enough notice. Please review my booking and deposit policies for complete rescheduling information.
- What happens if I don't show up?
- No-call/no-shows lose their deposit and will need to place a new deposit before booking again.
- Do tattoos hurt?
- Yes....but everyone experiences tattoo pain differently. Placement, tattoo style, session length, and your personal pain tolerance can all make a difference.
- Can I use numbing cream?
- Please ask me before using numbing products. Some creams can change the texture of the skin and may affect the tattooing process.
- How long does a tattoo take to heal?
- The surface usually begins settling within the first couple of weeks, but deeper healing takes longer 3-6 give or take. Always follow the aftercare instructions I provide and remember that everyone heals differently.
- Do you offer touch-ups?
- If your tattoo needs a small touch-up after it is completely healed, send me a clear photo and I can take a look. Touch-up eligibility can depend on the placement, healing, and aftercare. TOUCH UPS ARE FREE.
- Can I tattoo over scars?
- Sometimes. It depends on the age, texture, location, and condition of the scar. Send clear photos with your tattoo request so I can determine whether the area is suitable.
- Do you do cover-ups?
- I never take on more than I can handle or anything out of my league. So yes...depending on the tattoo. Cover-ups usually need to be larger and darker than the original tattoo, and not every design will work. Send me a clear, well-lit photo of the existing tattoo so we can talk about your options.
- Where are you located?
- Portage Indiana off US 6.
- Still have a question?
- Send me a message! I’m happy to go over your idea and help figure out the best direction for your tattoo. 🖤
