About Rick
I’m Rick, a Miami-raised artist who has been drawing for as long as I can remember and tattooing since 2010. My background started in Miami’s graffiti scene, where I apprenticed under Crome and put in work with MSG. I also worked with Darkhorse Miami doing graphic design, production, fabrication, and installations, including projects for the Miami Dolphins. Between graffiti, commercial graphics, and tattooing, I learned how to work with lettering, color, composition, scale, and designs that have to fit and command a specific space. Over the past 15 years, tattooing became my main focus. I’ve worked in a wide range of styles, but I naturally lean toward illustrative tattoos, soft realism, and custom work with strong composition and detail. I also love working in color, whether it’s bold and vibrant or softer with more of a painted feel. I’m not interested in just copying an image and placing it on skin. I like taking an idea, rebuilding it around the person and the placement, and creating something that actually flows with the body.
