Shug Shyam is a full time yogi and spiritual tattooist living at Sat Manav Yoga Ashram, a traditional yoga community in the woods of Maine. Shug pulls from over 28 years of deep spiritual practice to create ceremonial, energetically empowering tattoos drawn from the timeless knowledge of yoga. His tattoo journey began at a young age, when he was initiated into the highest levels of yoga by his Guru. This journey was marked by a small but powerful tattoo ceremony. From this time he began seeing the intrinsic connection tattooing has to the mind, the body, and spirituality. All of his art is fueled by his devotion to spiritual practices that align the body and mind with its highest purpose. Whether he is tattooing, painting, or consulting with a client about a tattoo vision, this energy and power is carried into all he creates. 100% of the proceeds from his work go towards supporting and propagating the mission of Sat Manav Yoga Ashram: benefitting all beings through the emanation and power of yoga.
