mugen is a polyartist: tattooer, writer, martial artist, and healing practitioner. they graduated from chinese medicine grad program in 2023 and merge the practices of tattooing and acupuncture.  They work with the contours, acupuncture channels and points of the body, reclaiming heritage and bodily autonomy, as well as pieces that integrate their knowledge of these two ancient practices of tattoo and chinese medicine.

All tattoos follow tattoo acupuncture principles, channels, and points.

Tattoo Acupuncture: Three Gates

This tattoo is designed specifically for the point PC6, known as the “Inner Gate” in Chinese Medicine.

It’s created by referencing ancient Chinese Shang and Oracle Bone script, as well as feeling into the energetic of the point. It is one of the 12 Madanyang Heavenly Points, who was a Daoist Immortal known for his incredible healing abilities.

This method can be custom design for any points along the acupuncture channels, please reach out if you’d like to work with smaller, single-session tattoos.
