Sya® Anderson is a multidisciplinary artist and full-time tattooist known for her conceptual realism, fine line detail, and ornamental work—primarily in black and grey. Her designs are deeply influenced by her study of anthropology, spiritual symbolism, and zen philosophy, which bring a grounded intention to every piece she creates. Before establishing herself in the tattoo world, Sya earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech & Language Pathology with studies in Gerontology and Sociology. Her fascination with the human experience—across ages, cultures, and states of consciousness—has shaped both her art and her approach to working with clients. After graduating in 2013, she spent eight years performing at music festivals and on international cruises. During this time, she taught herself to draw, paint, and ultimately tattoo—developing a distinctive visual language that continues to evolve. Since 2022, Sya has been tattooing full-time, offering custom work that feels more like an alchemical process than a mere procedure. She views tattooing as a powerful vehicle for transformation, crafting each piece to be as meaningful as it is beautiful.
