Tattoo Artists have always set their own standards. They've protected Clients, mentored newcomers, and built culture through shared values. Not corporate policies.

CO:CREATE is a community of Artists who hold themselves to the highest standards. These Community Standards reflect what that looks like. Safety. Trust. Respect. Professionalism. This is what the community has always stood for. This is what it means to be part of CO:CREATE.

These standards draw from the 1988 International Tattoo Artists Guild and have been updated for today's reality. Every Artist on CO:CREATE agrees to these commitments because professional standards protect everyone and elevate the craft.

Artists set the bar. These standards hold it.

What CO:CREATE Artists Commit To

I will show respect to every Client. It's their story, their body, their comfort, and their choices. That means honest conversations about what's possible, realistic timelines, and clear guidance about long-term implications. Discrimination, harassment, and misconduct have no place in professional work.

I will never tattoo while impaired. Alcohol and substances that impair judgement are not tolerated in a professional setting.

I will never tattoo someone who can't give informed consent. If a Client appears impaired by drugs, alcohol, or anything else that affects their decision-making, the appointment doesn't happen.

I will follow all standards for cross-contamination, application, and sterilization. Client safety comes first. No shortcuts.

I will maintain artistic integrity. No plagiarism, no misrepresentation, no deceptive practices when creating or displaying work.

I will help elevate other Artists. Through mentorship, honest feedback, and championing those who do quality work.

What CO:CREATE Commits To

Standards Oversight CO:CREATE maintains a review process for when issues arise. They're addressed through clear procedures that respect both Artists and Clients. All reports remain confidential.

Accountability Violations of these Community Standards result in warnings, suspension, or removal from CO:CREATE. Full details can be found in our Terms of Service.

Professional respect goes both ways. That's why Clients who book through CO:CREATE are held to standards that match the professionalism Artists bring.

Community Standards for Clients

CO:CREATE Artists hold themselves to the highest standards. When you book here, we expect the same from you.

Booking on CO:CREATE means agreeing to these commitments:

I will treat Artists with the same respect I expect during my tattoo. Clear communication, honoring boundaries and consent, and recognizing that Artists' time and expertise have value. Harassment, intimidation, and misconduct have no place here.

I will honor bookings and communicate promptly. Show up on time, unimpaired, and respect the Artist's workspace policies. When I need to reschedule or cancel, I'll communicate early and follow the Artist's policies.

I will respect the Artist's rates and process. Artists set their own pricing, policies, and procedures. I won't pressure for discounts, negotiate unfairly, or dispute legitimate charges after approved work is complete.

I will follow aftercare instructions and take responsibility for healing. Artists provide guidance to ensure proper healing. Poor results from ignored aftercare aren't the Artist's responsibility.

I will respect the Artist's privacy. I won't share their personal contact information or record sessions without permission.

I will contribute to a professional tattoo community. Treat Artists with respect and share verified Artists with others who value quality work.
